Glasney Rooms and Glasney Flats are set within the beautiful grounds of the Penryn Campus. With facilities in easy reach, guests can enjoy breakfast at our Stannary restaurant, lunch or tea at our Koofi Café, pick up essentials in the shop, explore the campus gardens, admire the mix of modern and historical buildings and spot the best vantage point for views over the Fal Estuary.
Glasney Lodge is your 24 hour reception.
Our reception staff are able to help with any questions and enquiries you have at any time. The reception area includes leaflets for local attactions and days out in Cornwall.
There is also free Wi-Fi throughout the campus, please enquire at Glasney Lodge Reception.
Lower Stannary Restaurant
The Stannary Kitchen restaurant offers a wide variety of freshly cooked dishes to cater for all tastes and diets.
Our menus are freshly made on site daily and use locally sourced produce. There are a choice of counters including our Asia Counter, Home Comforts Counter and Jacket Potatoes providing for a wide range of tastes, dietary requirements and budgets.
Opening Hours (Monday to Friday):
Full English Breakfast is served from 7am – 10.30am
Lunch is served from 11.30am – 2.30pm
A cash machine and post box are also available on campus.
Our on-site shop stocks ethical, fairtrade products with everything from wine to toothpaste and fresh locally sourced vegetables, fruit, meat and bread.
You will find everything you need here for your lunches, beach picnics and late-night snacks. Outside these times the local supermarket is just around the corner, a 15 minute walk away or only five minutes by car.
Everyone is welcome to visit our Penryn Campus Library in the Exchange building. The Library welcomes external borrowers and can provide access to a range of materials and special collections for private study and research. Our award winning Tremough Gardens at Penryn Campus are open for all to enjoy. Take in the walled garden, herbaceous beds, sub-tropical planting, fruit producing orchard, Italian garden, the 18th Century lime avenue, and the historic rare Rhododendrons, cultivated on the site in the Victorian era.LEARN MORE
The universities’ focus on green travel makes getting around easy. There is a bus stop on campus with buses running regularly to nearby towns (Falmouth, Truro, Redruth, Newquay), so you don’t need to drive. Penryn train station is just a short walk away (0.4 mi).
There are dedicated, sheltered bike racks and free showers for cyclists on campus.
The Fal Mussel Visitor Card makes travel between Truro, Falmouth and the Roseland Peninsula by land or sea, easy, affordable and fun…and it’s all car-free! With our special Saver Card (which you’ll get when you arrive), you can receive 10% off the Fal Mussel Card, from the Fal River Visitor Information Centre on the Prince of Wales Pier in Falmouth.
The Multifaith Chaplaincy is available for people of all faiths and none. If you would like to be connected to a church or religious group within the local community or would like a space for peace, quiet, reflection, prayer or meditation please do not hesitate to ask.
