Situated on the picturesque, 100-acre Penryn campus, guests can enjoy free secure parking, an onsite café, shop, pay-as-you-go sports centre with gym and court hire, as well as access to the award-winning tranquil gardens. For green travel, we have bus stops on-site with a regular service to Falmouth and Truro, 12 electric vehicle charging points, electric bikes to hire, and Penryn Train station is nearby. Our Glasney Lodge security team is available 24 hours a day, so should you need anything, the team is here to help.

Fascinating Falmouth

The coastal town of Falmouth offers impressive beaches, watersports, great pubs, restaurants, and attractions. Whatever the weather, there is so much to do!

Visit Pendennis Castle, and the National Maritime Museum, enjoy nearby Trebah Gardens, or why not treat yourself to a boat trip along the River Fal? You can’t beat packing up a picnic, finding a quiet spot on the sand and simply sitting back and relaxing!

Falmouth Week will take place on Friday 9th August – Sunday 18th August. This annual event attracts lots of international visitors and includes seven days of sailing races and a host of lively shoreside ticketed events. As well as themed party nights (booking ahead is strongly advised), there is a marching carnival, local markets, a magnificent fireworks display, and more.

Enchanting Cornwall

Other Cornish attractions on your bucket list could include the Cornish Seal Sanctuary in Gweek, which is 20 minutes away, St Michael’s Mount, Marazion which is 40 minutes away, the Eden Project, St Austell which is 50 minutes away, and the Minack Theatre, Porthcurno, Penzance which is 1 hour away from Glasney Rooms by car.

Charming Campus

On the Penryn campus, our university rooms are nestled by Green Flag award-winning gardens (originally the grounds of an old Manor House), open for all to enjoy.

Every Saturday at 9am there is a free Parkrun around our charming campus grounds that you are welcome to join.

Koofi, a popular café located near the Glasney Reception Lodge is a pleasant spot to relax, serving delicious pizza, snacks, and Starbucks drinks throughout the day.

The impressive Sports Centre includes a well-equipped gym and a large sports hall, with courts available to hire. A range of classes are held for all abilities throughout the week.
