Penryn Campus Grounds
Now you have the chance to stay with an award-winning garden right on your doorstep – as our beautiful campus grounds have been awarded a prestigious Green Flag from Keep Britain Tidy.
Our grounds at the Penryn Campus, home of Glasney Rooms and Glasney Flats, are proudly flying our Green Flag, awarded this summer in recognition of our well managed green spaces. The judges described our grounds as a “wonderful, unique” place and a “horticultural wonder”. They noted that it was a “perfect habitat” for wild flowers, insects, birds and bees, and said Tremough House and the Italian garden were a “plant collector’s paradise”.
Book your stay with Cornwall Plus this summer and enjoy our stunning campus for yourself. Take a stroll through our campus, once the grounds of an 18th Century Manor house, bursting with sub-tropical planting including historic rare Rhododendrons, cultivated on the site in the Victorian era.
Our visitor map will show you all the best features to discover. Sit a spell in the tranquil haven of the Walled Garden or explore the hidden treasures such as the Star Pond at the end of the Old Drive. The historic planting blends seamlessly with the modern campus facilities and the art installations you may find along your way.
