Now is the time to plan your escape to Cornwall and book a well-earned break. Come and enjoy some fresh, salty air by exploring our unique and breathtaking coastline.

Perfectly located for spectacular beaches, landscapes, castles, artistic heritage and attractions, our affordable University Rooms available in July and August on the leafy green Penryn Campus, offer a convenient base to explore all that Cornwall has to offer.

Situated in the historic town of Penryn, the North coast of Newquay is 45 minutes away, and the vibrant port of Falmouth is just 10 minutes away by car, bus or train.

Things to do in Falmouth

For those new to the area, there are numerous points of interest in Falmouth including the Maritime Museum, Pendennis Castle on the headland and golden beaches with a range of watersports, including kayaking and paddleboard hire.

National Trust Gardens, and Trebah Gardens are also nearby. You can also head to Flambards theme park in Helston, the Seal Sanctuary in Gweek, or burn some energy with outdoor cliff climbing, rope courses and zip wire activities at Via Ferrata Cornwall, or bounce, slide and climb on an inflatable aqua course at Kernow Adventure Park. There are many more exciting attractions in Cornwall, as well as hidden places to discover off the beaten track.

Falmouth Week (4 to 12 August)

Falmouth Week features yachts and dayboats racing over 7 days, accompanied by a lively programme of shoreside events for everyone. Head into Falmouth and you’ll find plenty to see and do, with themed party nights in Events Square, live music and performances, a marching carnival, local markets, and more.

What to expect when you arrive

Our double and twin en-suite shower rooms are nestled on the beautiful green 100 acre campus which is quiet and tranquil in summer. We’re located 10 minutes walk away from a train station and have a bus stop onsite. Alternatively, we have free car parking available as well.

When you arrive, you’ll be warmly welcomed and will have access to a range of on-campus amenities.

Next to the accommodation, you’ll find our Koofi Café, serving breakfast, delicious coffee and divine pizzas throughout the day. A little further up the hill is a well-stocked Campus Shop selling fresh groceries and produce, and we have a large pay-as-you-go Sports Centre on-site too.

As part of your stay, we’re offering a complimentary Saver Card which will give you access to discounts and special offers for on-campus facilities as well as local attractions from across Cornwall.

We offer a very competitive tariff, even in the peak of summer, with fixed or flexible room only options from as little as £65 per night, for up to 2 guests. There isn’t a TV in our rooms, but we do have free Wi-Fi, so bring along your digital devices.

We’re keeping you safe

For your reassurance, we have strict processes in place to ensure your safety and have been granted the VisitEngland ‘Good to Go’ certification. We have also received a VisitEngland 4 star rating in campus Accommodation and Service 2019/20 and are a proud Gold winner in the International category at the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2020/21.
